About
Lauren Petracca is a freelance photojournalist based in Rochester, NY who works with editorial, nonprofit, and commercial clients. She uses photography to examine the fragile relationship between people and the environment and how climate change and environmental practices impact culture, daily life, and mental health.
She has a decade of experience working as a staff photographer at newspapers across the country, including The Post and Courier, The Greenville News, and The Democrat and Chronicle. She received her BFA from the Photojournalism program at The Rochester Institute of Technology in 2013.
Her editorial clients include The New York Times, Associated Press, The Washington Post, CNN, NBC News, The Wall Street Journal, The Verge, Mother Jones, and Fortune Magazine and has partnered with nonprofits such as AARP, Songwriting With: Soldiers, Earthjustice, and Southern Environmental Law Center.
Lauren is also a certified commercial drone pilot and is available to travel on assignment.
